BLOND-AMSTERDAM started in 2001 in Femque and Jannekes first ever studio at the Spuistraat in Amsterdam. The colourful and sometimes naughty style of the earthenware and paintings immediately appealed to a large audience. The personal illustrations are carefully created at the girls shared desk.
The reason for the enormous popularity: Blond Amsterdam represents a certain attitude to life: light, positive, naive, cheerful and accessible.
“4CARDS was born in April 2006 after my own need for hip, cool and fresh designs for a birth announcement and wedding invitation. I love to design birth announcements, wedding invitations and other cards as it is always for a very special occassion. People trust such an important card to you which is very special to me. Our style is colorful, fresh, hip but also sweet and soft.” – Muriel Idema
