FinchFactor is recognized as one of Europe’s experts in how creative companies position and present themselves – both locally and internationally. The PR consultancy specializes in companies working within the advertising, digital, and design industries, who are looking for a reality check on where they stand in the market, with a view to developing their brand’s impact, across borders. Apart from being an advertising maven, Kerrie holds two columns in Netherlands’s most respected advertising magazines Adformatie and YouAdDaily.
How would you describe your business in exactly three adjectives?
Distinctive. Accomplished. Innovative.
What are your most popular products or services?
Our expertise focuses on using PR consultancy – in its broadest, most eclectic, sense – both for international reputation management and to support business development.
People may be surprised to know…
I only learned to drive at the age of 38. Within six months I was on a month-long road trip, on my own, across the USA.
What or who inspired you to start your business?
Amsterdam inspired me. There is a huge advertising, design and digital industry here. Creative companies see the city as a hub for international business. I wanted to be a part of that.
Who is your role model or mentor?
I have a few, including a brilliant and inspirational business coach, Fiona Harrold: http://www.fionaharrold.com/
What business mistake have you made that you will not repeat?
Working with clients who don’t respect the work we do at FinchFactor. Never again.
How do you spend your free time?
Watching movies, eating out, creative writing, and sleeping. Mostly sleeping.
What is your indulgence?
Travel, definitely. It doesn’t have to be exotic, luxurious or glamorous, but it does have to be a quality experience.
Where is your favorite place to go with your girlfriends?
Anywhere that serves a first-rate cocktail. Once we’ve found it, it’s hard to get rid of us.
