What or who inspired you to start your business?
A desire to create jobs and serve people were motivators. Also, Madame C.J. Walker, my parents and mentors were inspirations.
Who is your role model or mentor?
There are too many to name but Mayor Shirley Franklin, Ivey Stokes and Alvin Curry have been tremendous influences.
What business mistake have you made that you will not repeat?
I used to avoid necessary confrontation. Business sometimes requires tough decisions and crucial conversations. A head-in the-sand approach spells doom.
What is your indulgence?
Dessert! OMG!
Where is your favorite place to go with your girlfriends?
Anywhere with comfortable seating. We love to do stuff but we also have the best time sitting around talking!
