Shopping for a Cause: Partners Card Benefitting Camp Twin Lakes

CRAVE-ing some guilt-free fall shopping?  Camp Twin Lakes is launching its 2010 Partners Card, a popular fundraiser that gives the cardholder 20% savings at over 550 metro Atlanta stores, restaurants, spas and hotels.

Sound like a win/win? It is! Here’s how it works:

  • Atlanta card buyers purchase the card for $60.
  • Over 550 participating Partners Card retailers and restaurants offer a generous 20% discount (excluding alcohol) to card holders for the ten-day period of October 22-31, 2010.
  • 30 participating National online retailers will honor the Partners Card Online for a 24-day period of October 22 – November 14, 2010.
  • 100% of the $60 card purchase goes directly to support Camp Twin Lakes’ camping programs for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges.

The Partners Card raised approximately $240,000 in 2009 to send children with serious illnesses and life challenges to Camp Twin Lakes.  This year, the Grand Hyatt Buckhead, is the first hotel to honor the Partners Card discount.  Also new this year is Partners Card Online, giving cardholders 24 days to shop 24/7. For 24 days, October 22– November 14, over 30 national online retailers will honor the 20% discount through entering a coupon code at purchase.

Concerts, makeovers and festivals, oh my! What more could a girl in the city ask for? Get all that you CRAVE this weekend at some of Atlanta’s best events.

Yacht Rock the Night Away
If smooth rockin’ in the park is exactly what you CRAVE, then we have just the concert for you. This Friday, October 15, Park Tavern is hosting Yacht Rock Schooner Presents Hotel California. The band will spend the evening reliving all the easy sounds of The Eagles greatest hits. This is the perfect event to get you ready for when The Eagles really do come to Piedmont Park. So head out at 6:30pm for this pre-concent extravaganza and make sure you bring along your aviators & captain’s hat!

A Moulin Rouge Makeover
Looking for a little glam? Ready to transform yourself from Atlanta fashionista to a fabulous Paris female? On Saturday, October 16, from 2 pm to 4 pm, Sephora at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta will have MAKE UP FOR EVER makeup artists giving makeovers with its new Moulin Rouge line. The event is hosted by The Atlanta Ballet and dancers from the show will be in costume at the store showing off the true Paris cancan style. Scarecrows in the Garden
