Creative Networking

It’s all about creating relationships. But what is the best way to establish them? Organic is all I can say. You never know when and where your next relationship will be formed. You have to get out there and expose yourself and start meeting people in all sorts of ways.

My favorite way is to walk and talk. It is hard for me to sit in a coffee shop and talk for hours. Creative juices really fly when you are walking and talking.

I love the incubators that I facilitate. I get to sit with eight to ten women for four weeks, a few hours each week, and brainstorm for each other. You never know who you are going to sit with and how you are going to help them or they you. Magic happens. The power of putting a bunch of women in a room to help each other is amazing. I watch the relationships that form and issues solved every week.

Who are you cultivating relationships with? Be creative!

I agree! I have walked with a friend for years! Walking and talking is the BEST exercise women can get! It’s much cheaper than hiring a therapist!

I’d love to know more about the incubators that you facilitate. I would love to find new ways to network and this sounds ideal.

Referrals with common interests are great. I love to meet new, super motivated, like minded people who are entrepreneurs and making it happen. It’s unbelievable how many great people are out there that bring you tons of inspiration!

@Sharon: You can learn more about the incubator on this page: http://www.cravebusiness.com/?page_id=20

Are you in the Seattle area? We’re starting an incubator in Seattle on Tuesday March 3rd, that runs for four weeks. Or if you’re in another region, you can check this page on the Ladies Who Launch site to find an incubator session near you! http://www.ladieswholaunch.com/incubators/find

I walk with mentors {who have become my dear friends}a few times a week, from both the art & business world. I have learned & shared so much valuable information. It’s much easier to find a walking ‘buddy’ than to invite a new contact to coffee to learn how they started a business!

I would love to start a walking and talking networking event! Is there one currently? If not, I’ll create it, if there is interest!
