Best Places To Find An Outfit To Wear To Your Company Party

holidaydressup

Finding the right outfit for a holiday work get together can be a challenge. Everyone wants something that is fun and festive, yet isn’t too much for the corporate environment. Here are some tips and ideas for putting together just the right outfit!

Dresses are always a great option. They are easy, and can easily go from a day to night look. My favorite is the Rhinestone Bow Dress from First Date Boutique (28 Chestnut St. Andover, MA). This neutral colored tank dress has a super cute purple velvet empire waist with a large rhinestone bow. An absolutely great holiday dress! I also love the Milly balconette combo dress from Queen Bee (15 Spencer St., West Newton, MA). The gold beaded top makes this dress unique with its simple black bottom and can be paired with your favorite pumps. Dresses can be paired with a blazer or cardigan sweater for a day-time office look and then can be dressed up with jewelry and a great pair of shoes for the office party.

For an office party that’s a bit more formal, head to Mint Julep (1302 Beacon St. Brookline, MA) for a great selection. Their empire-waist ruby red tank dress from Shoshanna looks great on all figures. It’s color is fun and festive and can be worn with a pashmina wrap or cardigan for a bit more conservative look. Or check out Twilight Boutique (12 Fleet St., Boston) where there is always a fabulous collection of cocktail and evening dresses.

If you aren’t a dress person, dress pants or a pencil skirt (or even dark jeans if it’s a more casual event) and a festive top are a perfect alternative. Try a black sequin tank from Dress Code (2 Elm Square, Andover) which you can pair  with some classic black patent pumps, like Elustra from Daniblack (Available at Leokadia, 667 Tremont St. Boston) or some gorgeous gray and black strappy Badgley Mischka evening pumps (also available at Leokadia). J. Mode (17 Front St., Salem, MA) is another great woman’s store with some fabulous holiday options.

A great way to plan a party outfit on a budget is by updating an outfit you already have in your closet with new accessories such as jewelry, shoes, or a new clutch. Leokadia (667 Tremont St. Boston, MA) always has a well-edited collection of accessories (and clothes too!) at a range of price points!

Happy Holidays!
