On a beautiful summer evening, over 70 well-heeled women attended a party at Max’s jewelry store to celebrate local women entrepreneurs. CRAVE Partner and curator of the 1st and 2nd editions of the CRAVE Minneapolis/St. Paul guide Kathy Hanson of Backpocket Strategy hosted the event with Ellen Hertz, owner of Max’s.
Wall-to-wall women and laughter filled this gem of a shop voted “Coolest Small Jewelry store in America!” Women entrepreneurs of all levels of experience mingled, drank wine and sampled award winning chocolates sold only at Max’s. Many came to support women business owners, however most came to hear Kathy talk about why educating local consumers about the power of shopping and eating local is her passion and how the CRAVE guide does just that.
Jewelry designers, beauty experts, restauranteurs, shop owners and artists were all part of this dynamic crowd of smart savvy women who crave being part of a bigger network of women who support one another. Many new friendships were made, several future events were planned, exciting partnerships were formed inside this fabulous gem of a shop at this fantastic event celebrating women who are passionate about what they create.
