About this Event
Topic: The Customer is Always Right
As a business owner it’s important to do everything in your power to make the customer happy. Building a network of word-of-mouth marketing, testimonials and referrals to gain new business and regain old customers all go hand in hand with the motto, “the customer is always right.” Smart marketers understand that the word “right” in this case means that if you want the customer to remain loyal, you need to accommodate him/her. The importance of customer service is key in gaining a clientele that continues to support you and your business. So how do you make your customer’s experience a great one, boost their customer satisfaction and create that incentive for them to keep coming back?

Customers: the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are going to discuss it all. At this CRAVE chat, we are going to share our best and worst customer service experiences, from both the perspective of an entrepreneur and a customer. Combining the lessons learned from those experiences with the wisdom of our speakers, each guest will leave with specific feedback on how she can enhance her customers’ experiences and stand out from others in her industry.

All CRAVE chatters are invited to enjoy a complimentary bellini and more networking with Champagning (210 West 55th St.) after the CRAVE Chat.

Our Speakers

Michelle Apiar, founder of Haute So Sweet

Michelle Apiar is the sole artist of all Haute So Sweet creations. As a French Culinary Institute graduate specializing in pastry, Michelle has taken the rich heritage of custom baking and combined it with a creative component that truly delivers one-of-a-kind works of art. Her creations have been the centerpiece of special events and weddings in New York and New Jersey, social events at The Hamptons and corporate events on Wall Street. As an apprentice she honed her skills at Colette’s Cakes in New York City. She then moved on to make cakes on her own, eventually developing into Haute So Sweet.

Danielle Fontus, founder of She Dares

Danielle Fontus is the founder of She Dares, where she does more than organize events. She creates an experience. She has formed a community that allows women to be comfortable with who they are, connect with other women like them and then dares them to be an even fuller version of themselves.

With a B.A. in Psychology and English from Emory University, Danielle constantly explores her curiosity for satisfying people’s desires. It has been by listening to others share their personal stories that she truly learned to appreciate the art of communicating. Through years of customer service experience, she has been able to combine her passions and hone the skills necessary to not only enhance her customers’ experiences but also satisfy her overall mission to share the gift of happiness.
