Summer is now officially behind us, and it’s time to put away those flip flops for some more sensible and rain-friendly foot wear. With so many versatile styles, boots are perfect option to both keep your toes warm and stay stylish. Whether you like flat bottomed boots or mile high heels, cute ankle boots or bold printed rain boots you can find a different option for every occasion.
Here are some of the highlights from our favorite shops:
- At Kick It Boots in Ballard you can find “Stompwear” that uses 100% certified organic materials as well as footwear not produced in a sweatshop so you can feel good about what you are purchasing. The retro comic-book print rain boots will definitely add some intrigue to a jeans and raincoat uniform.
- We are loving cowboy boots this season which you can find at Horseshoe in Ballard.
- Don’t be fooled by the sweet name, Lambs Ears boutique is a good stop for some water proof boots with a little more edge to them. You can find tall military style or riding boots, and pick up some striped wool tights to pair them with.
- Sophisticated and sleek black ankle boots are my favorite find from Posh on Main. We are crushing on the cute ruffle detail for an extra feminine feel. Buckles are another big trend on boots this season which you can find on the selection of ankle, mid-calf and long boots. A more grown-up quilted nylon rain boot is a step up from your typical puddle stomper.
- Sole Food in the U Village carries funky trends and bold colors. For the perfect fit you can browse the Gabor line which features boots tailored to individual leg width. On a rain-free day the tan colored cut-out boots are a more unique find. And for those of us who can’t seem to stay away from our Uggs, you can come here for those too!
