August 26th, is a day very much worth celebrating! For many of you this isn’t a day thats noted on the calendar as a holiday to take off work, however its a day that commemorates the anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote! This anniversary is exceptionally special, since its the 90th anniversary of the remarkable occasion.
So ladies of Washington, join us as we pay tribute to the women who have paved the way for our success. It is because of their determination that we are able to not only vote but begin a movement for women’s rights that has had profound impacts for those of us in this present day.
The event takes place at Pickering Barn in Issaquah this Thursday from 6pm to 8:30pm. It will be a festive evening with moving videos, inspiring words and tributes. As well as including joyful music, tasty food, and wine. This event is a grassroots effort effort served by a committee of fearless women who celebreate their fearlessness and that of other women in our communities everyday. All net proceeds of this event locally will benefit the Women’s Funding Alliance, which stands for justice, health and opportunity for women.
