The two ladies opened the first Babeland store in 1993 in response to the lack of women-friendly sex shops in Seattle. Babeland provides high quality goodies for women who want to explore their sexuality. The store prides itself on not only providing a pleasant place to shop and top quality products but information and encouragement for women. Word got out quick about the fabulous nature of Babeland. The store’s popularity with both women and men has led to three more stores in New York, plus a thriving and educational website.
