MELODY BIRINGER / foundress of CRAVEcompany
A self-avowed "start-up junkie," Melody has built companies that range from Biringer Farm, a family-run specialty food business to home furnishings to a fitness studio. Now she runs the CRAVEcompany, a network of companies designed to innovatively connect entrepreneurs who approach business in a fresh, new way with the stylish consumers they desire. The CRAVE Company's family includes CRAVEparty, CRAVEguides and CRAVEbusiness. After initially launching CRAVEparty in Seattle, Melody has branched out to over 13 cities including Phoenix, Chicago, Portland, and San Francisco. CRAVEparty has also gone international, in cities like Rotterdam and Toronto. CRAVEparty has expanded into CRAVEbusiness, a resource for entrepreneurs seeking a fresh approach to modern business and CRAVEguides, delivering style and substance through city guides to small businesses, and other content. Melody is a loyal community supporter, versed traveler and strong advocate for women-owned businesses. ERICKA DICKEY / principal of CRAVE Portland & Social Enterprises, Inc
Ericka brings a diverse array of event planning, marketing and promotional experience to each CRAVEparty in Portland to ensure success for the local boutiques and designers that she partners with. As a special event expert specializing in connecting like minded individuals, Ericka launched Social Enterprises, Inc. in 1997 - an events planning and promotions business created to raise funds for Bay Area charities. She used her passion for events and expertise in driving revenue to help local nonprofits raise money through special events for important charity programs. Ericka gains her best experience from the "internet boom" in San Francisco driving revenue and marketing programs for companies like AOL/Oxygen Media, Doubleclick, SmartPlanet (Ziff Davis University) and CNET Networks. She has done extensive volunteer work planning events as a Board Member for the Seattle Direct Marketing Association, the American Marketing Association/Portland, San Francisco Women on the Web and the American Cancer Society/San Francisco. She now resides in Portland and is a "mom-preneur" with two daughters under the age of 2 that keep her running. |
