This Year’s Campfire is BIGGER Than Ever
Urban Campfire is a unique and intimate gathering of women, where vulnerability, failure, tears, and laughter are celebrated.
It is our mission is to acquaint you with all the fiery, CRAVEtastic, adventurous, and beautiful parts of who you are. You have to know yourself before you can grow yourself, and at this year’s fire we are going to be doing both.
Take your seat, share your story with other like-minded women, and fill your connection craving over food, wine, and (of course) marshmallows. It is a ‘campfire’ after all.
This year, we’ve asked female thought-leaders and entrepreneurs from all over the country to share a story about a moment in their life when everything changed in a big way. In a TED style talk, they will be sharing these breakthrough stories, plus the most resonant advice they’ve received in their lives so far.
Five hundred women attended the very first Urban Campfire two years ago, and we feel sincerely grateful to the tight-nit and continuously expanding community that has grown out of that formative night.
“The creative spark for the event came from a deep need within myself,” says CRAVE Founder Melody Biringer. “When we gather around the campfire, whether in the woods or a candle at the dinner table, let our hair down and breathe out our real truth, magic happens. Friendships are formed. Sometimes all we need are authentic listeners. Urban Campfire is all about giving permission NOT to have it all together.”
– Melody Biringer, CRAVE founder
We believe that in order to navigate both the breakthroughs and the breakdowns, we need to start getting obsessively specific about what, exactly, we’re working towards.
What do you CRAVE? Instead of an evening, this year’s event will be a day-long extravaganza dedicated towards personal transformation and courage. In mini breakout sessions, you’ll have an opportunity to share the chapters from your life that have already happened, and dream up the chapters in your life that are still to come.
The day’s speakers will be joining the breakout sessions to then help you set up an action plan to move forward in a big way.
Join the CRAVE team and a serendipitous gathering of like-minded women from 1-8:30pm on Sunday, August 16th at Hotel Max for a day you won’t soon forget.
Want more? You can stop by the event location the night before for our Urban Campfire ‘Pre-Funk’, and connect with some of the next day’s speakers and attendees over dancing, s’mores, and some other surprises.

Q: Is the event inside or outside?
A: Urban Campfire will take place inside an artist loft.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Jeans and dresses are both good. Wear comfy shoes (there will be dancing).
Q: Should I go alone or should I go with friends?
A: Come solo or with friends. At Urban Campfire you’ll find a fun, social, and open environment where you’ll be able to connect with women you know and women you don’t in an unguarded way.
Q: What exactly is Urban Campfire?
A: Urban Campfire is an all day event inspired by CRAVE Founder Melody Biringer’s desire to engage women in authentic conversations about business, relationships and life. This isn’t a conference, it’s an ‘urban campfire.’ The event is more about connection, dancing, and change than donning your highest heels. So bring your best smile… and if you want to dance, we recommend you wear something comfortable.
By the end of the day, our goal is to have ignited the spark flickering inside of you in a big way. We promise to delight and inspire with a star-studded line-up of TED Talk style speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and a veritable who’s-who in Seattle and beyond attendee list.
Q: How many people will be there?
A. A few hundred women.
Q: What will I get? What’s the main takeaway for the entrance price?
A. Attendees will walk away with new friends, new ideas, and fresh perspectives. You’ll also be treated to a delicious meal and snacks, S’mores, and a pre-funk karaoke dance party the night before.
Q: What’s the lineup? What can I expect to get from the experience?
A. We’re asking incredible women from around the country to tell us about a moment in their lives when everything changed in a big way. What’s the story that led to their breakthrough, and what came after? In TED-style talks they will be sharing the most resonant advice they’ve received in their lives so far.
Then we will disperse into mini breakout sessions to tell our own stories, and connect over our CRAVINGS and vision for our lives. A facilitator will help get you started if you’re having trouble. You’ll walk away, at the end of the evening, with an action plan and a clear vision that you can use on your own journey towards your next big breakthrough.
Many synchronistic connections have also happened at our events over the last few years. You never know. Come with an open mind.
Q: Is it for business people or stay-at-home moms or college students or all of the above?
A. This event is for all women who are looking to ignite that fire within themselves.
Are you in transition? Have you recently put an end to something (maybe a job or relationship) and are in the process of welcoming something new into your life? Are you having trouble maintaining a healthy work/play balance? Do you feel confused when people ask you ‘what do you love?’ Are you craving a community of people you can connect to on a deeper level?
If any of these sound like you, than you’re exactly the person we’re trying to reach with this event. We believe we can make a real difference in your life. We hope you’ll join us.
